Maybe I need to change the run to 7 a.m. The sun streaming into the living room at 8 is hot enough to E-Z Bake the cat.
On tap for today: more invitation printing, a trip to Creations By You, and much laundry.
Oh, and finish blogging all those odds and ends I keep starting but never managing to complete: the math test letters, crazy outfits, new books, and "top 5 breakups ever, version 2008" (here's v. 2001. Man, we were a bunch of drama queens back then).
Off to lace up.
9:15 - Okay,
never again in that heat. Ended up leaving later than planned. Clocked in at 15:30 (to yesterday's 16 something) - BUT - I feel like collapsing. Anyway, Stupid Running Outfit Day 2:

I started getting dressed carefully so that I wouldn't feel as hobo as I did running around the graveyard yesterday. But then I thought, what if every day I go out of my way to dress
so badly for my run that I don't want to slow down for a second to give people at the bus stop a chance to wonder, "What the hell is that poor girl wearing?" So today I basically ran in pajamas: my Jessica Rabbit tank and sweatshop-made shorts from a kiosk in Hollywood. Also discovered I don't own any other visors, so I used the same one. But I do, come to think of it, own a Disneyland hat that tomorrow I could pair with a Disneyland t-shirt that I could wear with a pair of blue shorts that say "MICKEY MOUSE" across the ass. A more embarrassing outfit I can't imagine. I shall run like the wind! Ah, exercise is fun after all.

well, i would say don't worry about what you look like when you run but you're a girl. society dictates that you look good even when you're not supposed to. but if it motivates you to run faster i say go for it.
dress like a hobo or one of those valley girls with designer running gear. comfort is big. and make sure you have rest days between your cardio workouts.
rest days? oh.
hm.
i have no valley girl running gear. but i have a large collection of ugly t-shirts. whee!
LOL I dig your outfits-they're cute to me,and like your friend Dan said, comfort is what's important! Screw what the people think, you're only gonna get sweaty anyway!!
Are you getting excited/nervous for your big day yet?
Doesn't posting a picture of yourself kind of defeat the point of not using your real name?
M - YES. The nerves are kicking in - but I think it's because we're not quite where we should be, schedule-wise. Would you recommend hiring a day-of coordinator?
V - I've used my real name so many times in this blog I can't even count.
