discomfort
OMG. I have to pee SO BAD. Unfortunately, the toilet is in several pieces at the moment because my wonderful S. is replacing the b-and-f, so there's nothing I can do about my predicament at the moment except regret chugging that XL iced tea while watching him do the Man Thing.
Yes, I know it's not a Man Thing. Vickie, who kicks Shopaholic and All Things Girl ass, is also very capable of replacing a b-and-f. By calling it a Man Thing I am simply expressing my gratitude that this household task was not relegated to me. (I, instead, refolded all the towels and linens, and then took many cute pictures of the cat and dog before the gorgeous afternoon sun faded from the bedroom.) Just pulling my weight around here :P.
BTW, it's worth mentioning that it is le grande BOOK FAIR time of year again. Just when S. was singing my praises for clearing a few shelves in the living room. Guess he'll have to find something else to love about me now. :)

Yay for the shout out!
I'm also capable of fixing the internet when the wireless network goes down. But I leave that to my genius and instead sit next to him and read his manga and make him dinner.
Sometimes it's just great to have a man around and take the stereotypical role of female from the 50's.
as if you want to fix toilets. yes, you're should be capable of it but isn't it better when you let someone else do the work? someone else to blame when things go bad.
v - i know! i love the '50s female thing ... sometimes. we're definitely a '50s couple in our eating habits (in front of the TV, 90 percent of our dinners).
d - it's way better. and way less disgusting for me.
O:)
No worries, if for whatever reason S can't/won't do it, I'll help!...if, eh, I happen to be in the state.
i'll help too. even though i don't like plumbing. bleah. water works.
so much plumbing love. i am a lucky gal.
