In contrast, Saturday's time.

Still can't figure out if carbs are my friend or not. They push me up the mountain, but won't let me trim the joey. Now that I've been completely off soda for more than two months, and have established a quota of 30 - 45 minutes of cardio 5x/wk, I'm ready to put a little more thought into the diet thing. Not as in I want to go on a diet, per se, but as in I want to get max nutritional benefits out of the stuff I eat. And maybe get to a place, mentally, where I can stop myself from eating half a can of olives before dinner because it was just sitting there. Hm, maybe the olives pushed me up the mountain.

For now, off to make the most of the rest of my martes ... I leave you with a totally random LJ post for your entertainment, and oh no, another excuse to buy chips.

carbs, like everything else is good for you in moderation. learning that the hard way. carb loading is good too before the race, but you gotta increase the metabolism throughout the day. an apple a day...

thanks for picking up the slack while i was gone. there have been some really interesting news stories i missed while i was off the grid.
