an old favorite ...
... in honor of this proposal.
Yay: ACHE-FREE plunge. Did a mere (and sloooooow) 200 m, but it was a successful, non-painful return, so I am satisfied. Stretched out my shoulders excessively before, during and after, then took a steaming hot shower (which lasted probably twice as long as my actual swim) for good measure.
My lack of sleep (the book is just so good!) combined with rising early for errands and the fact that swimming any distance at any speed saps my reserves rendered me pretty much useless for the rest of the day. Instead of afternoon walkies, as we'd originally planned, we did a few laps around Sam's Club, and instead of my experimental dinner, S. had turkeypast sammiches while I took a 45 minute nap, and I tossed slices of a $5 chicken over a pre-fab salad. (Two hours later, I'm still trying to purge the sodium, or at least the taste of all that salt, from my body.)
In keeping with the theme of maximizing every summer minute I have to my name, tomorrow's schedule is: rise early, see about getting K's nails clipped at TPC, hike (have early lunch and Margaret Wise Brown @ tables), do Project #1. Maybe a leisurely dip.
I think I'll join S. for the tail end of No Reservations ... Anthony Bourdain's having ant egg omelettes and fried swallow in Laos. Mmmmm.

sounds like an awesome day.
although the ant egg omelette seems like there'd be alot of ant eggs to make that omelette like 2 or 3 thousand.
a generous offering of ant eggs, or were they just trying to feed him the cheapest, most plentiful thing they could find?
hrm.
