grouchy bananas
Decided to buy $2.48 "standard" bananas at Sam's, last night, in lieu of $4 apple bananas, partly because of an innate desire to economize and partly because S. has made, to date, about 14,000 comments about the holy expense that is my new addiction: Vitamin Water. (My rationale for spending $19 a month on beverages whose benefits rival that of, well, water, is that I could be spending $19 a month on soda, packing on the pounds, incurring subsequent dental costs, not actually being hydrated, etc. I could also be spending $19 a month on bottled water, but I must echo my dad on that one: WHY? IT COMES FREE OUT OF THE TAP! And my defense against the 14,000 (or, you know, two) comments about the cost of Vitamin Water is, he spends money on snacks, so I should be allowed to, too.) Anyway, these bananas. Maybe I'm just eating them a day too early, or something, but I'm severely regretting trading the better ones in. Ick and yuck to tasteless bananas.
If you judge us by the contents of this month's cart, we look like very healthy eaters. Bananas, skinless chicken, Vitamin Water, oranges, Quaker Oats, plain Cheerios. We also look a little insane, with our 20-lb. bags of Meow Mix and Beneful (which, by the way, can't be left outside because Callie will claw holes in the bags, and she and Kona will eat whatever falls out.) Thus:
My poor reading chair! :(

dude. that bag is more awkward in that chair than you are in the water.
$19 a month isn't that bad. all thing considering.
bagS. there are two massive bags of pet food sitting in my chair.
i say the same about the $19/mo. i could go through twice as many bottles (i love the stuff) but i'm experimenting with this thing called self-restraint.
