tuesday, wednesday break my heart

Well, somebody messed up.

Really, really wish I could get into HP. I want to stand in line for Deathly Hallows, just to experience the uber-geek buzz, but I probably won't because I would feel like such a sham. Maybe I'll go just to pay homage to the goddess that is J.K. Rowling, because when's the next time something literary as big as Harry Potter is going to happen?

For some reason, I don't think the Alec Baldwin thing was as horrible as everyone else seems to think it was. It's certainly nothing to quit your job over. I just watched my second episode of "30 Rock" and I have to say, it would be hard to float without him. Speaking of quirky shows on the peacock network, "Scrubs" is pretty freaking funny. I tried to figure out why Elliot looked so familiar and then was convinced she used to be Carly on "General Hospital." (Actually she used to be Becky on "Roseanne.") TV is great, why did I think I could live without it? The people are so pretty, and who knew the shows were this funny? Even CSI: NY is funny, especially when David Caruso is trying to be serious.

So, we wait. I didn't vote. I offer no reasons/excuses/justifications/rationalizations for this. I am of the opinion that randomly drug testing teachers is the right of the employer, that drug-free teachers are the right of students and parents, that students in the sixth grade and above should be drug tested where "reasonable suspicion" exists, that we deserve that incremental raise, and that an MA should make more money than a BA+30 credits. We shall see.

Further sullying our plummeting collective image ...

Two blocks away from the police station?!

tv is my domain. stick to your books there nerd. and i've known for awhile those shows are funny. but it takes a lot to set aside time to watch them.
which is why the dvr comes in handy. for example, 30rock and scrubs are going up against grey's anatomy.
scrubs is a good show although it's never cracked the top 100 in its 7yr run. funny huh?

seven years? wow. i didn't realize. well, buffy was a huge hit with a gigantic and diverse fan base, but it's safe to say that never cracked the top 100 either. hehe.

well there's a whole bunch of shows that don't make top 100 but are immensely popular, but networks don't care about that and just want the next friends or seinfeld. which was why 30rock was nearly cancelled. i kept watching cuz of tina fey, she's funny, a good writer, and sorta cute in a nerdy way (you know what i mean?) plus i've always liked her work so it just needed a little time to find itself.

i like the cute but nerdy thing ... although unfortunately tina fey just reminds me of julia louis-dreyfuss.

ew. really? tina created 30 rock, executive produce, and writes. julia just acts. pfft. no comparison.
