Pink Update

Finally got to see the pink place, which reminds me more and more of a Florida retirement complex each time I drive past. And we got lucky because the floor guys and painters were there, so we walked up the "gated walk-up" and took a look at two of the units. Both 2/1, and of course the bedrooms are tiny squares - as is to be expected, which is why I was firm on TWO until I saw M's 1/1, which looked pretty awesome because of the floor layout and the disappearing doors. The pink place, underneath the spanking new paint and tiles, is very, very old. Not bad old, just obviously old. And the wiring plans are a little strange - for example, the cable outlet is in the middle of the hallway wall, which means you'd have to run one of those ugly concealers all the way up the wall, across the hall ceiling, and who knows how far into the living room, depending on where the tv/computer/phone is. The closet space is not phenomenal - in fact, I'd have to gut the hall closet because the shelves are ridiculously close together. Also, there is no ventilation in the bathroom or kitchen, and they designed it so that when you turn on the light, you turn on a really, really noisy fan. Parking is not secure, and to get back onto the main road you have to drive around the block because the side street is one-way. For this prize the asking is 322k.

Keep on truckin' ... Oh yeah, tomorrow's Open House day, might take in some sights ... Yay for Sunday.
