- Finished Saving Fish From Drowning and A Walk in the Woods. Fell asleep last night a few pages from the end of A Long Way Down. I resolve to finish every Bill Bryson book I purchased for $0.01 + $3.95 shipping on Amazon. I resolve to use O and Vogue as appetizers, not dessert. I resolve to stop starting Harry Potter books. I resolve to finish A Great and Terrible Beauty. I resolve to buy less and read more.

Phenomenal resolutions! Inspiring! I may have to take that final one and adopt it as well. I'm horrible about buying books and then never managing to get them read.
nick hornby calls it his "polysyllabic spree." i figure as long as a renowned author has given the syndrome a fancy name, it's not all that bad.
