The Japanese seriously believe Hawaii is smoke-free? If it's true that this is the impression an entire group has of our state, then I say Congratulations to us, we must be doing something right. Even if we are far from a smoke-free Hawaii, each time the 20-foot rule is enforced (which admittedly is not often) and each time we make it just plain more difficult to light up, it's a victory, not a problem. Tourists shying from Hawaii because they "can't" smoke here is the problem. Making it easier is not the solution.

By the way, I just can't get enough.
