v is for vendetta

Horrible. Shooting your ex-girlfriend is a one-way ticket to such a bad place, even if you manage not to die after security officers corner you and shoot you in the face. I like McCann's advice for avoiding being attacked in a public place: "If you see that kind of action, you need to go away."

In all seriousness, I have pondered what I'd do if someone pulled a gun in a shopping mall or office building. Run like hell? Hit the dirt? Piven and Borgenicht advise running zigzaggedly. By the way, don't forget to check out WCS's "It's not you, it's me" template. It has nothing to do with escaping a gunman but it has everything to do with dodging a bullet ...

Ridiculous. Homeowner conveniently absent during the ransacking + ultra-conveniently unlocked house? Neighbors ignoring total strangers carrying the kitchen sink out the door? And for crying out loud, a cop let those people in? Either it's all a huge insurance scam or Tacoma REALLY SUCKS.

I love snuggle weather ... oh baby, indeed!
