Tech Fun Run ... raised $9k for the cause (maybe now we can get a new PA system for the cafe?). Got me some color, a bit of exercise, and a round of applause for my shorts from the peanut gallery, who has never seen me in anything but slacks and jeans. My class lost three tugs o' war in a row before the PE teacher decided to make it boys against girls instead of class against class. The boys got dragged over the line in five seconds, which was too hilarious for words. At the end of the day one of my kids tried to smuggle water balloons into the classroom in his pants pockets, inciting a riot, but everyone fell into thumb-chewing silence when I put on a Harry Potter audiotape for the last 15 minutes. I think they were entranced by the British accent. Then Dave came by with a massive box of little donuts, and a little box of massive donuts, and mayhem reigned once more. 'Twas a good day ...
